When Kurt Angle announced that WrestleMania 35 would be his farewell match, there was a lot of mixed emotions. While everyone knew that Angle was already far past his physical prime and it is the right time for him to retire, they’re also going to miss their favorite Olympic Gold Medalist.
There was a lot of anticipation about who Angle’s farewell opponent could be, and fans instantly started dream booking a final match for Kurt Angle. At the end of it all, Angle announced that Baron Corbin would be his final opponent, much to the unanimous disappointment of the WWE Universe.
Angle has been facing final opponents on RAW and even SmackDown, and every opponent that he’s faced turned out to be better than his final one. It’s a rather bizarre decision, and the match may suffer because of it.
