#5.) She was going to get booed anyway
This is something that Ronda Rousey was well aware of. In fact, in interviews after WrestleMania 34, she very openly admitted that she fully expected the WWE Universe to boo her when she arrived. It’s a fair expectation, especially because the audience can be so unpredictable at times.
However, a simple, good story and a great portrayal of Rousey led to her becoming an instant hit. For months and months, she was one of the most over women on the roster and received a lot of love from the WWE Universe, who couldn’t deny her talent. However, there comes a point where fans might not have that same love and will turn on a superstar. Rousey knew that as the story progressed and she went up against a fan-favorite in Becky Lynch, the audience would turn on her.
It was inevitable, and WWE pulled the trigger at the right time.
