#4.) Roman Reigns vs Dean Ambrose vs Brock Lesnar – Fastlane 2016
Similar to have fans wanted Bryan to be featured in the main event of WrestleMania 31, the same was desired for Dean Ambrose the following year. He was the hottest star on the roster bar none, and fans wanted him to eventually face Triple H and win the WWE Championship.
The triple threat match was built in such a way that Ambrose was the leading character, Lesnar was the obstacle to overcome and Reign was just…there. His presence during the feud was minuscule and many fans hoped that this meant a change of heart from WWE. Of course, it didn’t.
But that being said, the triple threat match was chaotic, intense and entertaining through and through. Sure, the finish did suck the air out of the building, with WWE seemingly lowering the crowd mic to reduce the sounds of booing, but either way, the main event was fantastic from an in-ring standpoint.
