#5.) Roman Reigns vs Daniel Bryan – Fastlane 2015
Roman Reigns had won the 2015 Royal Rumble match, and as you probably know, fans weren’t exactly happy about it. It was supposed to be Reigns’ big moment, where his ascent to becoming WWE’s top babyface had taken full speed. However, fans rejected him and in storyline, the Authority made him fight more odds to secure his WrestleMania 31 match against Brock Lesnar.
He was supposed to take on either Daniel Bryan or Seth Rollins, and thanks to Reigns’ help, Bryan got the opportunity at Fastlane. Now, Reigns himself admitted later on an interview that he genuinely thought that he was going to lose his spot. However, WWE’s hope was that if Reigns beat the most popular babyface on the roster clean, he would earn the affection of the WWE Universe.
He didn’t. Bryan showed him respect post-match, but that didn’t take away from how good the match actually was. The two proved to have great chemistry and it turned out to be a solid main event, even if the outcome wasn’t favorable for fans.
