Not many people know this, but Roderick Strong had a very brief stint in TNA during 2005. He signed for the promotion, and he was looking to be one of the superstars that would help build the X-Division, along with the likes of AJ Styles and Austin Aries. However, things quickly went south after he arrived four hours late for a PPV (due to a clash in schedules with ROH). He would get suspended for two months and subsequently released later.
However, his run with ROH was far different. As mentioned, he was known as “Mr ROH” due to his extensive tenure with the promotion. After his time was done with ROH, he found himself under the “free agent” umbrella in 2016, before WWE finally signed him.
