The rumor is that before Vince McMahon decided to make Roman Reigns “The Guy”, he had his eyes on Big E for the spot. Whether you believe it or not, there’s no doubt that Big E was (and maybe still is) viewed as a potential main event superstar. He’s a homegrown WWE talent through and through and has the look and skills and charisma to pull off the role.
With age being on his side, it won’t be surprising to see Big E get a big push someday.
