#1.) He ignored “Stone Cold” Steve Austin‘s advice
It’s safe to say that Steve Austin knows a thing or two about career-ending injuries. Back in 2005, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn met Steve Austin in an airport and asked him for advice. Austin told Owens to never stop running his mouth. As for Zayn, he warned him to stay cautious, telling him that “that plancha s**** will kill you”.
However, it seems as though Zayn didn’t really take the advice to heart, as he continued doing it anyway. It’s understandable why he did, but Austin’s point of view is a very reasonable one. He’s gone through severe injuries through the years, and knows that it’s not worth someone’s own health to take such risks constantly.
