#5.) Marketable Latino star
For years, WWE has been looking for the next big Latino star to succeed Rey Mysterio and the late great Eddie Guerrero. They tried their hand with Alberto Del Rio and pushed him to the moon with a Royal Rumble win, a Money in the Bank victory, multiple world titles, etc. but it just didn’t click. It was clear that though Del Rio spoke fluent English and had a great look, he lacked the charisma and overall skills to be as marketable as they hoped in the Latino market.
With Almas, WWE has an authentic Mexican star with a great Lucha Libre background. It’s clear that Almas is an extremely marketable star, and this alone will likely help him for years to come in WWE.
