#3.) vs Kairi Sane, Nikki Cross & Peyton Royce – NXT Takeover: WarGames 2017
Asuka‘s dominant reign as NXT Women’s Champion ended when she vacated the championship and moved up to the main roster. This left the title vacant for a couple of months and at WarGames, a Fatal-4-way was announced to determine a new champion. Kairi Sane won her spot after winning the first-ever Mae Young Classic. The other three had to earn their spots and Ember Moon had the biggest chip on her shoulder after two previous unsuccessful attempts at Asuka.
With The Empress at ringside, the four women gave everything they had in a fantastic, action-packed bout. Ultimately, Ember Moon’s resilience paid off as she finally captured the NXT Women’s Championship.
