CM Punk was involved in a deeply personal feud. It’s well-known that back in 2009, Jeff Hardy faced major demons when it came to things like drug use. Punk, on the other hand, is straight edge, which made the dynamic all the more interesting. Hardy accused Punk of faking an eye injury and even wore an eye patch to mock him.
A furious Punk came out during his match against The Great Khali and with Jeff Hardy sitting on commentary, he unleashed a verbal barrage. He took out eye drops and said that he got it prescribed from a doctor and began taking shots at Hardy for abusing unprescribed medication. He then twisted it and made it about how straight edge he is and how much better he is. The delivery of the lines were done to perfection and the crowd absolutely hated Punk for it.
