#2.) Forming a tag team with Cesaro
Sheamus’ partnership with Cesaro represented a major career rejuvenation for him. After being in creative limbo for months after WrestleMania, he was put up in a Best-of-Seven series against Cesaro, with the winner being promised a title opportunity.
They would have an incredible series where they went into the 7th match tied 3-3, but the final bout would be a no contest (in what was undoubtedly the best match of their series). They were then unwillingly paired together and given an opportunity for the RAW Tag Team titles, which they eventually won by ending The New Day’s historical tag title reign.
Sheamus & Cesaro would first play a tag team of polar opposite personalities, eventually adapting to each other and becoming a strong unit. They would go on to dominate RAW’s tag team division for over a year, racking up 4 tag team titles in the process.
