#3.) Winning the World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania 28
This was a match that left a bitter taste in the mouths of fans. After a much-anticipated build, Bryan and Sheamus opened the show at WrestleMania 28. Sheamus would beat Bryan in a shocking 18-seconds to capture the World Heavyweight Championship. Sheamus admitted that both he and Bryan knew it would receive backlash, but ultimately, it wasn’t their call.
Bryan would end up benefitting from this long-term as fans felt he was screwed out of a major match at WrestleMania. Despite this, the reason it was such a great moment for Sheamus was that not only did it add shock value, but it was the start of a strong six-month title reign for him.
Thankfully, WWE compensated for the disaster by having the two face off in an outstanding 2-out-of-3 falls match the following month at Extreme Rules.
