Trent Seven Opens Up About His Experience In ‘Transformers: The Last Knight’

Trent Seven looks back on his experience filming Transformers: The Last Knight.

Trent Seven is no stranger to television, but in 2017, he had an opportunity to extend his range to the silver screen. During a recent interview with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard, Seven opened up about his experience working on the set of Transformers: The Last Knight, where he made a cameo appearance as a member of the medieval army.

“That was just before we signed with WWE,” Seven said. “I was working for a company called ICW, Insane Championship Wrestling — incredible company up north. They’re on a new little renaissance as well, which is brilliant to see for them. So there was posters and billboards all over the place with me and Wolfgang’s face on it heading into this big hydro show. I think Kurt Angle was on the show as well. We saw about 7,500 tickets or something. It was crazy. One of the producers casting saw the billboard, apparently, and then just reached out, and then we got cast as extras.”

“My name is, funnily enough, on the first title screen,” Seven continued. “I screenshotted that a couple of times I can tell you that just for a little bit of kudos for myself in my favorites folder on my phone. But yeah, it was just a wonderful experience. We got to work with Michael Bay very, very, very briefly on a couple of scenes. It was an eye-opening week, with the amount of money that is in that industry and the amount of the amount of people it takes just to make such a short section of a film. It was quite incredible, to be brutally honest, a wonderful experience.”

Amidst the filming of Transformers: The Last Knight, Seven also had a chance to strike up conversations with strongman Eddie Hall, who portrayed Saxon Warrior. “We shared a hot tub every night, which was quite a wonderful conversation. It was good times,” Seven said.

Ticking Boxes

Outside of professional wrestling, Seven noted that he has aspirations to be more involved in other aspects of the entertainment industry, such as presenting and acting.

“My goal since I left school was to always kind of be in the entertainment industry in some capacity. So, it is definitely something that I want to kind of reach back into,” Seven said. “Obviously being back on a lot more television screens and obviously a lot more different streaming sites with TNA, hopefully that might even give me a chance to kind of reach back into that kind of hall of expertise. Well, not expertise, but that pool of hope, so to speak. That’d be great. I’ve always wanted to be a presenter as well. I managed to tick a couple of those boxes recently.”
