In a WrestleZone exclusive, Richard Holliday spoke with Dominic DeAngelo about the growth of MLW since joining the company, how The Dynasty members keep adding layers to their wrestling portfolio and what’s life been without a consistent dose of his freshly brewed Starbucks Pike roast.
Holliday had some pressing matters on his mind however as he discussed in great detail why he wants Court Bauer and League officials to recognize his Caribbean Championship as an official title of the company. Despite some clear visual evidence against his case, Holliday claims he’s successfully defeated Savio Vega in the middle of the ring for the championship and has elevated the title to a whole new level of prestige.
“First, I’d like to say that I have made the Caribbean Championship more relevant than it had been in it’s entire existence. Personally I couldn’t name you one other who’s held that Caribbean championship other than Savio Vega. I do understand that there is apparently some long lineage of some Hall of Fame talent that have held that championship, and that’s all well and good, but I’m a ‘here and now, what have you done for me lately’ kind of guy and what I’ve done for that championship lately has made it probably the most talked about thing in MLW currently,” Holliday started off.
“I think it’s time that that championship is recognized as an official Major League Wrestling championship and then I, of course, would be recognized as the rightful champion,” Rich declared. “I’ve told Court Bauer, ‘Listen 100 Retweets on a specific Tweet and let’s make this thing official’ and he agreed to it and I got well over a 100 retweets because the consumers know that they want this championship to be legitimate, not that it already isn’t but they want this on the books as legitimate.”
100 RT’s and the Caribbean Championship becomes an official title! At least that’s what My Lawyer/My Father told me!
Suck on that @courtbauer ! https://t.co/MehjmVxdWw

Holliday’s ace in the hole, he states, happens to be his Lawyer/Father and he’s more than ready to cause a headache for MLW.
“So now My Lawyer/My Father is actively, actively – as of right this moment, working to make this a literal nightmare for Court Bauer and everybody over at Major League Wrestling until they decide to make this a legitimate ‘on paper’ Championship.”
As far as people claiming he stole the belt from Vega?
“I don’t respond to the people that say that I stole it from him because obviously those people are highly uneducated, I clearly defeated Savio Vega, 1-2-3 in the middle of the ring,” Holliday said, dismissing the notion. He did say he’d consider having Savio on his list as people he’d defend the belt against, but “He can get to the back of the line because as far as I’m concerned, he lost it.”
