Troy Gonzales discovered his passion for wrestling by playing the WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2010 video game on the PlayStation Portable. Years later, he would then launch his YouTube channel “Joshi Journals” in 2023 to cover the niche world of Japanese women’s wrestling.

Outside of his work in wrestling media, Troy holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering degree from the University of the Philippines Diliman.
