On how ROH and NJPW were able to secure Madison Square Garden after negotiations with them initially did not work out:

JK: It required a lot of conversations and dialogue. Once we were able to work through some points on both sides it came together. It just took a little bit of work.

On if WWE tried to intervene and stop ROH from running the venue:

JK: Well, that’s what has been reported and, basically, we were told that there was something there that wasn’t right working with that date. So, we decided to talk it through and talk further and it’s really between Madison Square Garden and Ring of Honor. Outside parties, respectfully, they had nothing to do specifically with this transaction. Like I said, it just needed to be worked through and I think everyone is very pleased with the end result.

On if they have sold 18,000+ tickets for the event, equivalent to other pro wrestling sell outs at MSG:

JK: I think there is some production hold still out there. I know that all of the tickets that were put out there to sell have been taken. I’m not sure of the exact number.

On if ROH or NJPW were at the forefront of negotiations for the show:

JK: We were in constant conversation with them. We do a lot of work with them, as you well know. We usually do two shows a year that have NJPW talent on them in the spring and in the fall. We are in constant conversation. When we were looking at venues and we were looking at places that we could run we thought that maybe this would be a good opportunity to partner in full and combine the two forces and brands together. To make this a much more viable option for the show. That’s exactly how that happened.
