Jim Ross Responds To Jonathan Coachman’s RAW Remarks

Last Monday on RAW, announcer Jonathan Coachman appeared to make light of Jim Ross’ recent injuries from last weekend’s NJPW G-1 Special.

Coachman said,

“He may have broken ribs, seems like that’s going around lately.”

Ross took to The Jim Ross Report podcast to respond to Coachman’s remarks,

“I was told that Jonathan Coachman made a somewhat sarcastic remark referencing me…Was that supposed to be cute? Did I miss something? Was it clever and I just didn’t get it? Am I just too old? Has it all passed me by? I don’t know. I can’t imagine why Coach would say anything to besmirch me, especially when I’m kinda banged up because I’ve never been anything; but, supportive of him, so whatever. Hopefully it was a remark that was taken wrong. Again I didn’t hear it; but, I’ve got enough people that sent it to me that want to stir the sh*t. I get that too. I’m not doing that; but, if Coach said it on purpose and thought it would be funny, it wasn’t funny.”
