Mike Johnson of PWInsider revealed that Michael Cole is the lead announcer backstage, meaning that the likes of Nigel McGuinness, Vic Joseph or Corey Graves will have to report to him.
He also mentioned that at some point, it is possible that Cole may be pulled off TV due to age or someone new cropping up who can do the job better.
However, as of now, it would seem that there are no plans for the most tenured announcer in the WWE to shy away from television duties.
