Alberto El Patron Sued Over Karaoke Bar Brawl

Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting former WWE and Impact Wrestling star Alberto El Patron was sued by a man for an alleged injury during a bar brawl in 2016.

According to documents obtained by Pro Wrestling Sheet, the injured party claims:

“While returning to his table from the restroom, Plaintiff noticed the Defendant, JOSE ALBERTO RODRIGUEZ, flashing his rear end to the other patrons in the establishment. Upon returning to his seat, which was close in proximity to that of the Defendant’s, an altercation broke out and the Defendant and the individuals that were present with the Defendant began to assault the Plaintiff, ALEX PARDO. As a result, Plaintiff had to receive immediate medical attention and was transported to the hospital by means of EMS for further examination.”

Alberto has denied this side of the story, and instead claims he is the victim. Alberto’s lawyer filed a response with claims that Patron said a female companion of Pardo’s approached a woman he was with (speculation would believe this is WWE’s Paige) for a photo. The woman asked to take the photo on the way out, but more people in Pardo’s group allegedly approached them and said the photo op was owed to the woman, and things got heated from there.

It was stated that Alberto attempted to resolve the situation, but Pardo threw a glass at Alberto’s head and caused multiple lacerations. This caused the entire group to start brawling, and Alberto was attacked by Pardo after getting to his feet. Alberto’s lawyer claimed Patron was protecting himself and defended himself against Pardo’s attack, deeming it necessary to protect the people in his party against Pardo’s use of ‘unlawful force’.

Alberto claims he had to receive medical attention for the lacerations and a concussion, and wants Pardo to pay $5,000 for pain and suffering and legal fees. Pardo’s lawyer left the case after several months of going through the court system, and now Alberto is asking for a default judgement due to Pardo not meeting the deadline to file documents pertaining to the case.
