On what match he think should close WrestleMania:

JR: This whole card has something for everybody on it. What closes the show? If I’m the booker, which I’m not thank God, Cena and Undertaker would be something I would strongly consider to close the show. I would not close the show with Lesnar versus Reigns or AJ versus Nakamura. I wouldn’t want to prioritize one title over another, you’re looking for parity to some degree. Undertaker and Cena are two WWE Hall of Fame guys. They are two of the biggest Superstars of all time, no hyperbole, that’s just true. I just think that the card is pretty packed. I am looking forward to the whole damn thing.

On if he plans on calling an action at this year’s WrestleMania:

JR: As a fan, as a broadcaster and somebody who like to think that along the way in my 20+ years of working for the company that I helped build our brand. And also as some who is proud to say that our talent relations department did a great job stocking the shelves with some guys who have become household names and millionaires. I have a vested interest in the event. I feel a part of it and I am very hopeful that I will get an assignment. I haven’t had any talks with them about doing a match but I will be there. Like all the old timers do, you bring your gear. I am very hopeful that on the back nine of my life that I get a WrestleMania assignment because it means that much to me personally. It’s not about the payday, it’s not about what match you want to do or your entrance music. It’s about being a wrestling fan. Being able to be a part of WrestleMania is a bucket list type deal for people and it still is for me.
