At the conclusion of this weekend’s Honor Rising, 7-time IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks announced that they are now Heavyweights. The team took issue with friend Kenny Omega declaring himself and his fellow Golden Lover Kota Ibushi the greatest tag team in the world. Matt Jackson interrupted Kenny Omega’s show closing promo to make the announcement, planting seeds for a Young Bucks vs. Golden Lovers match in the future.
The Golden Lovers responded to the challenge saying that it is a possible “dream match.”
