In Ring Segment: Kevin Owens
Owens is in the ring with a single spotlight on him. Owens says that now that the spotlight is solely on him, he can explain why he is going to walk out of WWE Fastlane as the WWE Universal champion. I anyone asked him if he thought he would be facing Goldberg in the main event of a PPV, he would not have believed them. Not the main eventing a PPV part. Owens always knew that would happen. It’s the part where it is going to be against Goldberg. Everyone buys into Goldberg’s hype. Owens does not. Even as a kid Owens couldn’t care less about Goldberg running through everyone in WCW. What about when Goldberg beat Brock Lesnar in a minutes or whatever it was? Lesnar took Goldberg lightly, Owens will not.
This is not going to be Goldberg’s match, it will be Owens’ match. Owens doesn’t have to out muscle Goldberg, he just has to out think him. Owens knows how to play the game better than anyone. Owens says he waited his entire life to be a champion in the WWE. There is NOTHING he will not do to stay that way. When Goldberg came back to the WWE, he stated he wanted to show his wife and all the kids around the world that there are still superheroes in the world. At Fastlane, Owens is going to show Goldberg, his son, and everyone else that Superheros do not exist. At Fastlane, the people can chant for him all they want. As far as Owens is concerned, Goldberg is NOTHING. As far as Chris Jericho goes… Owens drops the mic and walks away.
