Our top story asks whether WWE star Alberto del Rio is leaving the company. But first, who really is in charge of running Raw and Smackdown Live?
The brand split, which went into effect this week, currently has four onscreen authority figures – Stephanie McMahon and Mick Foley on Raw (or Stepholey for short, to give them a hideous Hiddleswift style nickname), and Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan (Shane O’Bry) on Smackdown Live. But they’re only characters – so who’s really in charge of running the creative side of each show?
With Raw being so well received, and Smackdown Live being…less well received, many thought Triple H and former NXT head writer Ryan Ward were booking Monday nights, while the out-of-touch Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn were controlling the blue brand.
But according to Dave Meltzer, the old man’s still got it, as the wrestling journalist replied to a fan asking who is controlling Smackdown and Raw
