Seth Rollins Talks His WWE Return, New Talent on the Main Roster, Which WWE Stars He Wants to Face, If His Knee Is 100%, Rehab and More

Returning WWE star Seth Rollins was the guest on ESPN’s “Off the Top Rope” segment hosted by Jonathan Coachman last night. You can watch the appearance in the videos below, and the following are some highlights:

Coach asked Rollins about the reaction he got from the crowd when he returned on WWE Raw this week and Rollins said it was wild. He added he’s been sidelined for 7 months and to come back and make an impact in WWE right from the get go was a “very nice moment.”

On his knee injury, Coach noted most athletes need 9-12 months to return from that type of an injury, but Rollins said he is a very goal-oriented person and gave himself a return timetable of 6-9 or 9-12 months. He praised his surgical team down in Birmingham, and added he was doing two-a-days every day because he missed the crowd so much.

Coach then brought up pressure for Rollins to return to the top, especially since WWE has an abundance of new talent like AJ Styles. Rollins says he thinks it’s great that there’s a ton of new talent in WWE as he feels having hungry talents push other superstars to be their best, and that will in turn make the fans want to tune in and watch. On who he is looking forward to working with, Rollins said he can’t wait to wrestle guys like AJ Styles, Sami Zayn and Apollo Crews. He added he wrestled Styles 10 years ago in front of a very small crowd, and it’s great to see everything come full circle and now they’re in WWE. Rollins said AJ Styles has always been an idol to him and someone he modeled his style after.
