Bobby Roode Allegedly Signs Deal With WWE NXT
One of the hottest free agents in pro wrestling, Bobby Roode, may no longer be a free agent. PWInsider.com is reporting that they were told that Bobby Roode has signed a deal with WWE NXT. He allegedly signed the deal with WWE NXT at last night’s WWE NXT tapings in Florida. He was backstage at the tapings but did not appear.
Eric Young Comments On His WWE NXT Status
Eric Young was seen on this past week’s episode of WWE NXT but his status with the company has still remained largely unclear. Recently Young did an interview with Niagra This Week to promote his appearance this Saturday at House of Hardcore’s show in Niagra Falls. During the interview he had the following to say about how his appearance in WWE NXT came together and what his current status with the company is. You can find an excerpt from the article with his comments pertaining to both below:
“It was in the works. I was supposed to go and talk with Hunter (WWE executive Paul Levesque). They reached out to me and there was an opportunity,” said Young. “Hunter and I hit it off right away, joking like we had known each other for 10 years. About half way through the day he called me aside to see if I’d be interested in doing a promo with the NXT champion Samoa Joe to start the show. I went and grabbed my stuff out of my rental and we got to business. The crowd reaction was insane. I figured it would be decent, but it was insane.”
While he has yet to officially sign his WWE contract, the 5’11” tall grappler believes that it is inevitable.
“We are working on contract stuff now, but there isn’t a final pen to paper yet,” he said.
Eric Young will take on Bobby Roode at tomorrow night’s House of Hardcore event. To read the full article click HERE
