House of Hardcore 9 took place on Saturday 7/18, breaking the promotion’s attendance record for their debut in Toronto, Ontario at the Ted Reeve Arena. Results for the show saw:
*Chris Hero pinned Tommy Dreamer. Yep, Dreamer worked the opener and lost. This was said to have been a good match. Dreamer took the mic and thanked everyone as HOH has found a home in Toronto and promised the promotion would return.
*Bobby Roode defeated Pepper Parks. Roode was an unadvertised surprise and received a huge reaction.
*Team Tremedenous Investigations, Hacker Scotty & Matt Striker defeated Ethan Page, RJ City, Vik Delishus & Ben Ortiz. Similar to a six man tag involving Tremendous in Philadelphia, this was said to have completely torn the house down.
*Johnny Mundo defeated Tony Nese in what was said to have been a great wrestling match.
*The Addiction defeated Matt Taven and Michael Bennett. Former TNA Knockout Traci Brooks faced off and had a catfight with Maria. Brooks gave a farewell speech to fans after that got over really well since she’s initially from the Toronto area.
*Tommaso Ciampa defeated Eddie Kingston. This was said to be a great brawl and Kingston’s best HOH showing to date. Ciampa was said to be on fire. The bottom rope broke during the bout but they kept going.
*Austin Aries, another surprise that was unadvertised, answered Rhyno’s open challenge and defeated him.
*Team 3D defeated The Young Bucks. Bully Ray gave a speech putting over the Bucks and House of Hardcore.
The show was said to have been really fun with an electric crowd. The Fight Network filmed the show and portions of it may appear on that Network in the weeks to come. The show was also shot for DVD and Blu-Ray.
Nick was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and lived there until the age of 18, when he decided to pack his flack jacket and move to New York City.
