WWE Battleground takes place this Sunday. So I thought I’d run through the card and give some predictions:
Pre Show: Wade Barrett vs R-Truth
Wade Barrett and R-Truth face off for Barrett’s ‘King of the Ring Crown’. I think the world will agree that the less said about this match the better. I’d love for Barrett to lose the gimmick so that he can be taken a little more seriously. But in all honesty, I can’t see WWE moving this feud forward any longer.
Prediction: Wade Barrett
Randy Orton vs Sheamus
This really is a match that has been thrown together at last minute and to be honest, is a strange choice. This match has happened so many times and this was the match that fans held hostage the night after WrestleMania 29. I’m not expecting anything major to come out of the this one but I think WWE will focus on keeping Sheamus looking strong as the new Money in the Bank holder.
Prediction: Sheamus
Roman Reigns vs Bray Wyatt
This match has been given a few weeks to build and does continue on from Money in the Bank as you’d expect. However, as you will know from my recent article on Bray Wyatt, I feel this is just a stop-gap for Roman Reigns. I think WWE will want to keep him strong before they possibly insert him in to a main event at SummerSlam.
