“Furious 7” Continues to Break Records
As noted, “Furious 7”, starring The Rock, is the highest grossing movie for Universal Pictures to date.
In an update on the film’s box office success, Universal announced yesterday that the movie has crossed the $1 billion mark, which is the quickest a live-action movie has hit that mark. The film has grossed $273.7 million in North America and $735.2 million overseas. It is also the only Universal Pictures release to reach that mark during its initial theatrical run.
