Moments ago, TNA head of talent relations John Gaburick confirmed via Twitter that 6-year TNA color announcer and ECW legend Tazz is no longer with the company.
After 5+ years TNA & Taz have mutually decided to part ways. A champ in the ring & on the mic, we wish him nothing but success! @OfficialTAZ

After wrapping up his in-ring career at the turn of the century, the two-time ECW Heavyweight Champion began appearing as an occasional part of the Monday Night RAW commentary team. When WWE debuted its Smackdown brand in 2002, he became the full-time voice of the show alongside Michael Cole.
Tazz departed WWE in 2009, debuting with TNA Wrestling several months later as Samoa Joe’s adviser. He would then replace Don West as the weekly color commentator for Impact Wrestling, a position he maintained until today.
Like to thank TNA Wrestling for the opportunity to apply my craft for past several years. Best wishes to them in the future.
