Update: TNA Stars Finally Receiving Paychecks, News on the Current Backstage Company Morale, Taz to Be Punished for Absence?

tna As we previously reported, late paychecks and diminished dates have caused recent backstage frustration in TNA.

According to both PWInsider.com and F4WOnline.com, TNA talents have finally started receiving their paychecks, and they began to arrive on Saturday of last week and yesterday. To try and make up for previous delays, a source noted to PWInsider that TNA talents would be receiving their March checks earlier than scheduled.

As noted, Taz missed the last set of Impact Wrestling tapings, and the reason is not yet known. Dave Meltzer notes repercussions could be coming for Taz’s absence.

Meltzer is describing things in TNA as a lot worse than the end of the run they had on SpikeTV, as there seems to be a lot of unhappiness across the board with company momentum and a feeling of stagnation.

Before I get attacked for running another “negative” TNA report, I’d like to add that nothing above is an indication of how good or bad the current Impact Wrestling product might be, as personally I feel it to be as strong as ever. The report is meant to be an indication of how talents are feeling right now, and how late paychecks and reduced dates have impacted their company outlook.

Nick was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and lived there until the age of 18, when he decided to pack his flack jacket and move to New York City.

Nick attended New York University and graduated in 2001 with a degree in Drama.

Nick first entered the internet wrestling community back in 2004 when he became the co-host of The Voice of Wrestling Radio Show. From there, Nick made the transition from radio personality to editor when he began working with WrestleZone in 2008.

Nick is a member of two Off-Broadway theatre companies, Another Urban Riff, and the Drama Desk Award winning Godlight Theatre Company. Nick has appeared in over a dozen Off-Broadway plays since he moved to New York City, and has shot several short and feature length films. In 2010, he completed principle photography on a film titled "How to Score Your Life," which also features TNA Knockout ODB.

Inspiration in his life has come from many people including his family, Woody Allen, Steven Spielberg, Jack Nicholson, The Beatles, and of course, Lassie.
