As noted, AAA was supposed to hold its Rey de Reyes event on March 15th, however due to severe weather in Guadalajara, Mexico, the event had to be postponed.
The event, originally scheduled to take place at the Plaza De Toror Nueva Progreso arena in Guadalajara, was rescheduled for last night at the Auditorio Benito Juarez, which is an indoor facility about 15 minutes away from the original venue. Due to permit issues, however, and 3/16 being a major holiday in Mexico, the event once again had to be rescheduled.
AAA is now rescheduling the show a third time, and it’s currently set for this Wednesday night, at the Auditorio Benito Juarez in Zapopan. One potentially major issue, however, is the show will lose Alberto El Patron vs Brian Cage, as scheduling issues forced the match to be pulled from the card.
The show will still feature, however, Rey Mysterio’s first post-WWE match, as he teams with Myzteziz (fka the original Sin Cara in WWE) to take on El Hijo del Perro Aguayo and Pentagon, Jr. of Lucha Underground fame.
