TNA's Indian broadcaster Sony SIX is running promos of the One Night Only: World Cup of Wrestling PPV which will air in India on December 8, 2013. The One Night Only: World Cup of Wrestling PPV is scheduled to air in the US on February 7, 2014 which would mean that the PPV will air in India two months before it airs in the US.
In related news, Pooja (@Pooja0903), the marketing manager at Sony Six, the network on which Impact airs in India, sent out the following update on her Twitter about the Superstars' tour of India:
"1 week to go TNA stars to visit India …. Watch this space for more @SonySIX"
"Details to follow shortly !"
By the looks of things, TNA will be sending some of their superstars to promote Impact in India.
In 2005, the company had sent Sonjay Dutt, Simon Diamond and Shark Boy on a tour of India. They then sent Kurt Angle, Mick Foley and Jay Lethal on a three-city tour to promote Impact in India in 2010. In 2012, TNA sent multiple wrestlers and creative talents to produce Ring Ka King, a wrestling show specifically developed for the Indian market.
Earlier this year, Sony SIX had promoted Miami Heat superstar Chris Bosh's visit to India. Chris Bosh had been in the country as an ambassador to promote NBA in India.
