AJ starts the show off by saying she has some blockbuster matches to announce, and the first of which is Big Show versus Randy Orton. She says her ex fiancee Daniel Bryan will face John Cena, then CM Punk cuts her off and heads to the ring before she can continue. Punk says he tries to live his life regret free, but last week he did something that he would like to apologize for. He tells AJ he is sorry, and she shouldn't be disrespected because he knows what it's like to be disrespected. AJ accepts his apology and Punk hopes they can remain friends, but she made a mistake last week and she should cancel the triple threat match at Summerslam. AJ says he is right, and she is new at her job, but his title defense is not a mistake and her decision stands.
Punk says this must be her revenge for being stood up by him, and he says she shouldn't punish the guy who everyone likes because of that. He says he would face each guy in a singles match or even face a new opponent, but they should move on with this and talk about something else. John Cena comes to the ring and says he is looking at Punk differently because he became one of those guys who demands respect. Cena says he needs to just come out and earn it, and if Punk thinks he deserves respect for being champion he is mistaken. Cena says he has won the title 11 times and he stills fights the crowd for respect, and Punk should blame himself for the triple threat. Punk says he didn't get involved in the match last week until Cena put his hands on him, and he is the WWE Champion so he won't be disrespected by anyone.
Punk says Cena tackled him at the commentary table, but Punk actually saved him last week because Cena could barely lift Big Show up. Cena tells Punk he doesn't have odds in his favor at Sumemrslam, but Punk reminds him that he beat Cena at Summerslam last year. Big Show comes out to meet them but AJ stops it and says they need to end this because Big Show and Cena are both in matches tonight. Punk asks why he doesn't have a match and his challengers do, then AJ says he does have a match but she doesn't know who his opponent is. Punk looks at her funny but AJ says the fans will decide in a Twitter vote, and their choices are between Miz, Kane and Rey Mysterio.
