The August 13th episode of The Wrestling Crossfire contained many returns, mark-out moments, rants, and surprises, including the fact that it was on time! Starting off, Douglas Nunnally revealed the winner of last week’s contest for the Ring of Honor DVD. On a quick side note, Doug then talked about the Ring of Honor results from August 12, 2005. After that, he went straight into the TWC Mailroom and answered questions on kayfabe, Summerslam, OVW, Sacrifice, Undertaker, Red Hot Chili Peppers, music, columns, workrate, and more.
Doug Nunnally then began a heated rant on spot monkeys in the world of professional wrestling. He begins his rant talking about the meaning of the flips, the skill it has, the placement of it, the exposure it gives to the buisness, the negative aspect it gives off, and more. He names names, events, places, matches, and more and holds nothing back in this spirted rant on spot monkeys in wrestling today. Following that, the “Columnist of the Show” segment made its return back to TWC with some talk on a very gifted columnist for TheWrestlingVoice.com. After that, Doug gave a brief review on the 101 Reasons Not To Be A Pro Wrestler DVD including how he felt about Chyna’s sanity, New Jack’s sense of humor, and Sean O’Haire’s view on wrestling.
Ending up the show, Doug talked about why the Eddie Guerrero-Rey Mysterio feud has been so great as of late and goes into intense depth in his argument, which even borders the line of “marking out.” Doug then talks about recent things happening with TheWrestlingVoice.com like the TWV 100 II, What’s My Best Match?, the WWE Pool, TWV’s cartoons, TWV Asylum, and the up-coming TWV Wrestling Hall of Fame! He then gives some information on next week’s show including information on the most innovative contest in TWC and maybe internet history that is open to fans worldwide!
