Although Blassie lost the match, he managed to open a gash in Lewisâ head that required stitches. The program for this card mentioned that Mario Galento and Dutch Savage were the new Southern Tag Team Champions, but offered no information on how or where they won the claim. The last reference we have shows Nick Kozak & Dick Steinborn defending the title against Savage & Lewis on October 8, 1965, in Atlanta. It also featured an advertisement for Nalley Chevrolet, located at 2555 Stewart Avenue, asking you to call referee Charlie Smith for âthe best dealâ.
