In Loving Memory of James “Buddha” Ratcliff
1971-2006
United Wrestling Alliance will be hosting a memorial show for James “Buddha” Ratcliff on Sunday, November 2, 2008. “Buddha” was an up and rising star on the Indy scene. He, at one point, had formed a tag team with Mick Foley in USWA. He also acquired the USWA Tag Team Championship titles with another wrestler. He was very well respected in the Indy Circut as well as his community. In the words of wrestler and close friend Billy Masters, he was a “hell of a worker and hell of a human being.” Masters also added, “He would have given you the shirt off of his own back.”
Buddha’s up and rising 15 year wrestling career was cut short when he succumbed to congestive heart failure at the age of 34.
Friends and family, as well as wrestling fans are encouraged to attend the memorial show. Admission will be free and belltime will be at 7:30 P.M. The memorial show will be located at 1448 10th Avenue in Huntington West Virginia.
