NEWS and NOTES
There will be no more radio shows from Georgia Wrestling History until November 26, when Rich Tate and Les Thatcher return with a new Peach State Pandemonium. PSP will air each Wednesday through the December 17 broadcast. After a holiday break, PSP begins 2009 on January 7. Each broadcast runs ninety minutes, starting at 9:00 PM ET, with archives available afterward.
The GWH crew is also working on a newly designed PSP Fix format, spin-off programs expected to debut in January. Planned to date are shows that will be hosted by GWH/PSP contributors Ric Gillespie, from the Canvas Chronicle, and Dan Masters, from Dan Masters Live. Gillespieâs weekly show will be MMA-themed, and is most likely going to broadcast on Sunday nights. Mastersâ show is still being formatted. Other shows are expected to be announced soon.
Total Nonstop Action will be taping for iMPACT! at Universal Studios in Orlando, FL, tonight.
Expect Christian Cage to be featured only minimally, if at all, over the next few weeks. We are hearing that because renegotiations to keep Cage at TNA are still nowhere close to being settled, TNA does not want to risk him being a major player in current and future storylines in the event he leaves the company next month when his current contract ends.
TNA has invited Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to be part of the Final Resolution PPV on December 7 with the Beautiful People, offering to present her with a check for $50,000 for the charity of her choice if she participates.
GWH wishes a happy birthday to Kip James (1963), Christie Ricci (1982), Kristal Marshall (1983), and Van Hammer.
Today in Memoriam: Pedro Godoy (61, 1981), Pinkie George (88, 1993), Al Amezcua (81, 1999), and Albert â~Choo-Chooâ Lynn (79, 2005).
Tonightâs Trash Talking Radio will feature John Wayne Bobbitt and Damon Feldman, beginning at 7:00 PM ET.

Prime Time Pro Wrestling promoter Billy Roper has announced that his promotion is now an affiliate of the National Wrestling Alliance.
Alternative Pro Wrestling results from November 7 in Royston, GA, at the Cherry Street Gym: Jeremy Vain demanded the Southern States title be returned to him immediately. Vain said his lawyers had filed a motion to have the decision overturned, making him the rightful champion. Chris King congratulated Vain on being the only man to win and lose the title in less than a minute. Before things got out of hand, APW announcer Brett Wolverton informed Vain that a decision would be made on APW Aftershock regarding the status of the Championship. Vain vowed to send a message to “Champion” Billy Buck through his friend, Chris King. Dustin Michaels defeated BJ Hancock. “The Candy Dandy Man” Donovan Sweet defeated Anthony Henry. Aaron Lee & “Royston Brawler” John Carnage defeated Brad Logan & Bo Newsome. Slim J & APW Tag Team Champions, The Franchise (Ryan Michaels & Matt Sells) defeated Strictnyn & Dany Only & Skirra Corvus. North Georgia Champion Seth Delay defeated Chris Damien. Chris King defeated Jeremy Vain by DQ. Vain went for the Clorox bleach, but before he could do anything, Billy Buck intervened and Vain ran off.

Warren â” Promoter / Georgia Championship Wrestling) > Sammy Miller versus Benny Mathis > Rip Roberts versus John Mauldin > Southern Light Heavyweight Title Match: Eddie Williams defeated Young Londos* to win title / Notes: Sammy Miller and Benny Mathis were scheduled to wrestle each other, as were Rip Roberts and John Mauldin, but no results were reported after the card. It is unclear as to how Young Londos came to be recognized as the Southern Light Heavyweight Champion. The last reference we have shows Jack Ross winning the title from Raoul Lopez on February 4, 1938, in Augusta.

Tillet and Vachon blamed the Raider for the loss, and there was a brief confrontation between them. Chico Cortez and Red Raider #2 were barred from the building during the match. The program for this card featured a letter written by Alberto Torres, promising the fans he would return as soon as he had completed his obligated suspension after losing to Butcher Vachon on October 7, 1966. There is also a mention in this program of the recent passing of Sandor Szabo. It was announced that Buddy Fuller would be wrestling on the card on November 18, 1966.

The last reference we have shows Enrique & Alberto Torres defeating Hans Schmidt & El Mongol to win the title on May 31, 1968, in Atlanta.
