WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H is already excited after SummerSlam 2026. He revealed one match he can’t wait to watch.
WWE SummerSlam delivered several huge moments across both event nights. Oba Femi defeated Brock Lesnar inside Hell in a Cell. Roman Reigns, CM Punk, and Liv Morgan retained championships. Chelsea Green, Baron Corbin, and Chad Gable won titles too.
Triple H reveals one WWE match he can’t wait to watch
One major surprise happened during SummerSlam Night Two’s action. Nick Aldis added Gunther and Kevin Owens unexpectedly. That instantly turned the bout into a Fatal 4-Way. Owens pinned Sami Zayn after hitting a Stunner cleanly.
The victory earned him a title match against CM Punk for the WWE Undisputed title. Owens had just returned from a serious neck injury. His comeback made the win feel even more important.
Speaking during WWE’s SummerSlam post-show, Triple H praised the upcoming rivalry. He said Punk and Owens share years of history together. That includes memorable moments both on-screen and behind-the-scenes too.
“Which now puts him in a driver’s seat, and after last night makes me immediately think about Kevin Owens and CM Punk, and there is a lot of history there. A lot of history that people have seen, and believe me, a lot of history that is behind the scenes. That is going to be an epic encounter that I can’t wait to see.” [H/T: Fightful]
Punk and Owens last confronted each other on WWE SmackDown in 2025. They traded heated words during that memorable television segment. Now they look set for a massive WWE showdown for the Undisputed title.
