Samoa Joe Posts Cryptic Coded Message

Behind the mystery, Samoa Joe is a man that just loves pro wrestling.

Cryptic tweets are nothing new to the wrestling community as a number of performers use them to tease their next moves or allude to the inner workings of the business. In the case of former AEW World Champion Samoa Joe, his motivation for it is even simpler.

“I think I’ve come to realize making Cryptic tweets is more about feeling cool than actually doing anything cool…. Yeah, I gotta start making more cryptic tweets,” Joe wrote on Twitter/X before posting a more enigmatic, follow-up message.

“.. .-.. — …- . / .–. .-. — / .– .-. . … – .-.. .. -. –.” it read. The mystery of Joe’s tweet was quickly solved as many fans recognized it as Morse Code that translated to “I love pro wrestling.”

Samoa Joe is a 25-year veteran of the pro wrestling industry, having made his in-ring debut back in 1999. In the present day, Joe is a regular fixture in All Elite Wrestling, specifically as a member of The Opps faction. Most recently, Joe appeared on the June 25 episode of AEW Dynamite, helping “Hangman” Adam Page fend off The Death Riders and The Young Bucks.

Under the AEW-ROH banner, Joe is a former AEW World and ROH World Television Champion. Currently, he reigns as an AEW World Trios Champion alongside Powerhouse Hobbs and Katsuyori Shibata. Tonight, AEW will celebrate its 300th episode of AEW Dynamite, with Joe’s potential involvement yet to be seen.
