Athena Reflects On AEW Double Or Nothing Debut

Before tonight’s AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view, Athena is reflecting on her debut at this same event three years ago.

The Ring of Honor Women’s World Champion lost in the second round of the Women’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament to Mercedes Moné. However, she’s not giving up on finding another path to AEW All In: Texas later this summer.

Athena took to social media earlier today to reflect on her AEW Double or Nothing debut and teased that she would be paying close attention to tonight’s show, tweeting out:

“@AEW @AEWonTV 3 years ago I debuted at #AewDoubleOrNothing … Tonight the #ForeverROHChamp will be paying very close attention from home as I hope to find a way to #AEWAllInTexas …,” Athena said in a post.

Her debut for the company three years ago at Double or Nothing saw her confront then-TBS Champion Jade Cargill. It’s kinda wild to see how much has changed in the last three years.

WrestleZone will have live coverage of AEW Double or Nothing later this evening.
