We’ve got an injury update on Bayley, courtesy of Michael Cole.
During the RAW after WrestleMania broadcast, Cole announced that the Role Model suffered a dislocated shoulder and a labrum tear as a result of the backstage attack during WrestleMania 41, putting her out of action for the foreseeable future.
What happened to Bayley?
Bayley and Lyra Valkyria were originally scheduled to face Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on WrestleMania 41 Sunday. However, a backstage assault prompted officials to rule Bayley out of the match.
Becky Lynch ended up taking her former rival’s spot to join forces with Lyra. The pair went on to defeat The Judgment Day for the tag team titles, making Lyra a double champion in the process. The title reign lasted only 24 hours as Liv and Raquel defeated Becky and Lyra on the RAW after WrestleMania.
Becky Lynch turned against Lyra post-match, hitting her with multiple man-handle slams to solidify her heel turn. Both women previously collided in NXT when Lyra challenged and defeated Lynch for the brand’s women’s title.
It’s worth noting that Triple H gave an update on Bayley during the night two post-show press conference. He told the media gallery that Bayley “will be just fine” and that she’s a true pro, alluding to her status being a storyline issue and not a legitimate injury.
Mercedes Moné Responds To Bayley Being Pulled From WWE WrestleMania 41
Bayley’s removal from WrestleMania didn’t sit well with her fans after reports attributed the reason to a storyline and not legitimate injury. As we mentioned earlier, Becky Lynch took her spot at WrestleMania 41.
AEW’s Mercedes Mone reacted to the reports on social media. The former Sasha Banks took to X/Twitter to let her former tag team partner know what she thought of the reports. Fans can check out the post here.
WrestleZone will have more update on Bayley as it becomes available.
