Mina Shirakawa Announces She’ll Be Joining AEW, Confirms STARDOM Departure

Mina Shirakawa is officially coming to AEW.

STARDOM shared a video in which Mina Shirakawa announced that she would be leaving STARDOM and joining AEW. She stated that she would be leaving the company at the end of March. Shirakawa said that, in coming to AEW, she wanted to show the world the skills she had learned in STARDOM, and she aimed to continue to pursue her dreams.

Shirakawa’s last match with STARDOM in Japan will be on April 6th. She will work the promotion’s two shows in Las Vegas on April 17-18.

Kimoto Riju of Tokyo Sports first reported that Shirakawa would be leaving STARDOM and moving to the United States. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reported that she would be going to AEW.

Mina Shirakawa had a run with AEW throughout 2024, as she challenged Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s World Championship at AEWx NJPW Forbidden Door. She returned to the company later in the year and challenged Mariah May for the title at AEW Dynamite: Winter is Coming.
