Ashley Vox: Kris Statlander Is So Easy To Communicate With, We Have Strong Chemistry

Ashley Vox recalls her work with Kris Statlander.

At Limitless Wrestling’s The Great Divide, Ashley Vox took on Delmi Exo in a Last Sister Standing match. Of course, this wasn’t her first go at this stipulation, as she previously faced Kris Statlander in a Last Creature Standing match at Limitless’ Twilight Zone in November 2019. On this occasion, “The Reel Catch” found victory by sending Statlander crashing through a door propped up on two chairs.

In a recent interview with WrestleZone’s Ella Jay, Vox recalled her bloody, grueling affair with Statlander, formerly known as “The Galaxy’s Greatest Alien.”

“That is definitely one of my favorite matches of all time,” Vox said. “I love Kris Statlander. She’s just so easy to communicate with in and outside the ring. She’s a great friend. I think we have such a strong chemistry that it shows in the ring. Overall, that was the first time that I ever bled in the ring, so I was kind of nervous for that. I knew it had to be done because we were trying to tell this story. I think I was more nervous of am I going to bleed enough, am I not gonna bleed enough, am I gonna miss and get my eyeball. But yeah, it was overall a really, really fun match.”

Vox & Statlander crossed paths again on AEW Collision

In November 2024, Statlander and Vox crossed paths again, this time on AEW Collision in the latter’s hometown of Providence, Rhode Island. Overall, this marked Vox’s first All Elite Wrestling match in three years.

“It was really nice. We have our inside jokes and all that, so seeing everyone for the first time in so long at AEW was good,” Vox said. “Everyone was like ‘Oh my God, what are you doing here? It’s you’ but it was good. It was in Providence too, which was my home state. I didn’t have an entrance, but walking out, staying in the ring during commercials, and then just looking at the crowd, people were throwing up the fishhook. It was just nice. It was like ‘Oh my God, these are my people,’ this is my hometown.”
