NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez briefly appeared on the August 16 episode of WWE SmackDown.
On Friday night, Blair Davenport clashed with Naomi in a singles match. Before the bell, NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez was shown in the crowd, as WWE promoted NXT hitting the road for the first two episodes of the show’s run on the CW Network.
Roxanne Perez has crossed over to the WWE main roster before. Most recently, she faced Indi Hartwell on the April 8 episode of WWE RAW. She also competed on the October 14, 2022, episode of WWE SmackDown. Additionally, Perez has competed in two Royal Rumble matches.
Update: NXT Champion Ethan Page was also shown in the crowd later in the show. He appeared during the match between Kevin Owens and Grayson Waller.
Trick Williams was shown in the crowd as well. He popped up ahead of the match between The Street Profits and #DIY.
Roxanne Perez On Potential Call-Up
Perez has previously commented on potentially getting called up to the main roster before. In a recent interview with Denise Salcedo, she said that she would take it over.
“Obviously that is the goal. Of course. I want to create such like… Obviously since I was a kid, that’s all I ever wanted to be. I wanted to be on the main roster and start creating a legacy for myself. But I think that now I’ve realized like, just to take my time. And you know… I feel like I’m already creating a legacy for myself you know. Two-time NXT Women’s Champion. I’m in the first-ever WWE NXT, TNA, crossover match. This is some awesome stuff. And if I’m just scratching the surface right now, I can’t imagine the things that I’m going to be able to accomplish, whether that be in a few months, whether that be next year, in two years. I know that once I make it up there, everyone should be worried. Because, I’m gonna take over,” Roxanne Perez said.
