There have been several rumors lately that both Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix, the Lucha Bros will be heading to WWE as soon as their AEW contracts are coming up. Recently, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T shared his thoughts on the situation.
While speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T suggested that WWE should give the former AEW World Tag Team Champions a chance. He wants to see the Lucha Bros skip NXT and show up on the main roster. The WWE Hall of Famer claimed that the two AEW wrestlers have great potential and are extraordinary talents. “Bring the Lucha brothers in,” Booker T said. “Put them on the main roster. You can let them cut through NXT and stuff. Those guys are extraordinary talents. Give them a chance.”
Booker T hopes to see Ricky Starks in WWE
Booker T also shared his interest in seeing other AEW stars jump ship as well. On a previous episode of the Hall of Fame podcast, the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion mentioned that he would like to see Ricky Starks join WWE. (Ht Julien D’Alessandro of Wrestling Inc.)
“Ricky Starks is one of those guys that he’s got ties, he was actually at one of the shows with CM Punk back I guess late last year, he’s close to Cody … I think he fits in perfectly, I mean I really do, I think he’s got that look, he’s got the swagger, his name has gotten there before so that right there is saying a whole lot about Ricky Starks,” he said. “The guy believes in himself, that’s one thing almost like Ethan Page, Ricky Starks this kid he has something … Ethan Page he’s definitely paid off thus far in NXT, and I would love to see somebody like Ricky Starks.”
