For the second week in a row, Pete Dunne appeared on WWE NXT.
Trick Williams asked Dunne for advice in a brief encounter on the July 16th episode of WWE NXT, but “The Bruiserweight” brushed him off. The following week, Williams was interviewed backstage, and he said that no one would stop him from getting the NXT Championship back. Dunne interrupted, and Williams brought up how he didn’t help him the week before.
This time, Dunne told Williams to “figure it out.”
Update: Williams defeated Cedric Alexander later in the show. Dunne then ran down and attacked him from behind. He left the former NXT Champion lying.
Outside of NXT, Dunne has been at odds with his former Brawling Brutes stablemate Sheamus on WWE RAW. Dunne recently attacked Sheamus after “The Celtic Warrior” had teased a reunion. Meanwhile, Dunne’s tag team partner Tyler Bate is currently sidelined, as he is recovering from surgery.
