Eric Bischoff Feels The Current Presentation Of MJF Is Being Forced

MJF was one of the biggest heels in All Elite Wrestling.

He’s also a former AEW World Heavyweight Champion and holds the record for the longest World title reign as well. The self-proclaimed Salt of the Earth returned to AEW at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view. Since then, MJF has been playing a babyface. Recently, WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff shared his thoughts on the former AEW World Heavyweight Champion.

While speaking on the 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff mentioned that the current representation of Maxwell Jacob Friedman’s character feels a bit wobbly to him. He is also not sure he’s liking the character. Bischoff feels that the character evolution is forced.

“In a general sense, it’s the way he’s presenting his character. It feels wobbly to me,” Eric Bischoff explained. “I feel like I’m getting a little bit of the original MJF character that got over in the first place. But now I’m seeing this evolution even visibly, his ring attire, there’s this change in him and I don’t know why and I’m not sure I like it … I’m not saying I don’t want to see MJF’s character evolve, I do but I don’t know if I like this evolution yet and it’s being forced. I feel like it’s being forced, that’s it.” [H/T Wrestling Inc.]

MJF turned heel once again on the latest episode of Dynamite after brutally beating down Daniel Garcia.
