Chris Jericho is stepping down from his role on commentary, and Matt Menard will be replacing him.
On the May 31 episode of AEW Rampage, FTW Champion Chris Jericho announced that he would be stepping down from his role on commentary. He noted that he would be appearing more on AEW Dynamite and Collision going forward.
Pat Laprade then took to social media to write that Matt Menard would be officially replacing Jericho on commentary. Menard has regularly been part of the broadcast team on AEW Rampage in recent months. He previously called the action on AEW Dark: Elevation as well.
Menard has been with AEW since August 2021. He was previously featured as a member of the Jericho Appreciation Society.
