There has been an update in Janel Grant’s lawsuit against Vince McMahon.
In January, Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against Vince McMahon and John Laurinaitis, alleging that they engaged in sexual assault and sex trafficking of her. McMahon denied the allegations, but he resigned from WWE and TKO, and he is under federal investigation.
Per John Pollock of POST Wrestling, On Tuesday, Vince McMahon’s legal team submitted a new statement as they continue to push for arbitration.
In the statement, McMahon’s side wrote, “Should the Court find it necessary to conduct a hearing on any issue, Defendant respectfully reserves his right to introduce additional evidence that bears on witness credibility, sophistication, state of mind, and similar issues”.
In the filing, McMahon’s side maintains that they submitted undisputed facts, and they had the right to “introduce additional evidence that bears on witness credibility, sophistication, state of mind, and similar issues.”
This comes after Vince McMahon’s attorneys filed a memorandum that opposed Grant’s motion to strike McMahon’s previous statement.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
