A new report provides an update on Sammy Guevara, who has been absent from AEW television since February.
Former TNT Champion Sammy Guevara was previously suspended following his match against Jeff Hardy at the AEW Rampage taping on February 14. Concussion protocol was not followed in the match, and Guevara’s opponent, Jeff Hardy, suffered a broken nose. Guevara went on to wrestle Powerhouse Hobbs on the February 24 episode of AEW Collision, but he was subsequently suspended.
In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Sammy Guevara is no longer suspended by AEW. He noted that there is no word on when Guevara will return to AEW television. Per Meltzer, some things have been pitched, but nothing has been confirmed.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
